Lol Massive Crowd-1

Eight million unique viewers on livestream and TV can't be wrong; that is the number released by League of Legends as they declared the Season 2 finals as the "most watched eSports event of all time".

Eight thousand live audience were also present in the arena to witness the finals between Taipei Assassins and Azubu Blaze, in which the former won. To add to the mind-boggling numbers, 1.1 million LoL fans were online simultaneously to witness and cheer for their teams in their epic battle for the enormous US$1 Million top prize. That number does not include Korean or Chinese TV audience.

Dustin "RedBeard" Beck said: "We're floored. It is your enthusiastic support that inspires us to strive for bigger and better things next season."
