A Battlefield 3 mod is circulating right now that will unleash the inner Picasso in you; as it allows an “artistic” player to modify the color gradients to diminish the game’s generally bluish muck to more natural and vibrant colors. Unfortunately, BF3’s gameplay designer Gustav Halling said it was too colorful.
Just how colorful the game becomes because of this mod? See the video below:
I must admit, the game looks more appealing! But Halling tweeted, “too colorful. Also, I wouldn’t use those hacks if you don’t want a permanent ban on your account. FYI warning.”
It’s a bit absurd if you think about it; why would anyone get a ban-hammer for beautifying the game? Well DICE is adamant about protecting the competitive standards set in the game wherein a tweak like this might actually upset the balance in multiplayer maps. Also, a few posters in a Reddit thread discussing the mod claim that they already know people who have been banned for using the program.
What do you think guys? Anyone here using this mod?
