With a total cash prize of €1,750 plus several gaming hardware products, the first edition of CyberGamer’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Invite League is a bit modest compared to ESWC’s US$30,000. But for teams readying themselves for major LAN events, this will give valuable practice time and an added bonus of winning cash prizes.
The Euro-centric tournament has attracted 20 professional CS:GO teams, up from the original 16 set by the organizers. Caramba, ex-Roccat, Finest and HastaLaVista all secured their places in the tournament via qualifiers, while the remaining sixteen were invited by the organizers.
