After three days of tough Counter-Strike: Global Offensive action, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) prevailed over team VeryGames (VG) to win DH Valencia 2012.
DreamHack Valencia, touted as the first major GO tournament, came down to two of Europe's finest, and the finals was a bit surprising. NiP got the upper hand early over VG in the first map, stunning most of the 15,000 strong audience. The French tried in vain to bounce back in de_train, the finals' second map, but it was not meant to be. NiP won 2-0 by scoring 16-10 and 16-12, winning €2,500 plus a DreamHack Winter Wildcard.
The DreamHack organizers had trouble in the start of the tournament, but managed to pull through to stage a CS:GO classic, which will be remembered for a long time.
