DoTA 2 The International is over, with losers' bracket champions Chinese Invictus Gaming (iG) beating Natus Vincere (Na'Vi) in the Grand Finals, taking home the top prize of US$1,000,000. Na'Vi took home US$250,000, not bad for the best DoTA 2 team and defending champion---until iG took the crown as the best of course.
As iG came from the losers' bracket, they were considered underdogs because the Chinese team had to go through tough DoTA 2 teams like EHOME, DK and finally LGD. Also, most Asian teams have not been playing DoTA 2 that long compared to their Western Counterparts. But the victory of iG has announced that the balance between East and West in DoTA 2 has been restored.
