Following their less than stellar showing in DoTA 2 The International 2012, Moscow 5 decided to break up their DoTA 2 team.
M5.Dota, a team known for their aggressive gameplay and entertaining style, went 2-12 in the International 2 including forfeiting their last match. This forced the hand of Moscow 5 organizers and axed the team. Lack of results at highest level, attitudes that are unprofessional and lack of respect to the fans were the reasons of their dismissal according to a post at the Moscow 5 homepage.
M5.DoTa was also known for their lateness, questionable sobriety of their team captain, the use of “GG” then continuing to play and many more. It seems that the International 2 result was the last straw.
The General Manager of Moscow 5 reassured their fans that they will be creating a new DoTA 2 team to compete in the upcoming Starladder and Defense tournaments. They are also thinking of retaining two of their former players, though details have not been revelead.
