The registration for the Asus Open Summer Cup 2012 online tournament with its 2nd leg is now ongoing, with the popular DoTA 2 again in the spotlight.
With its open format, the DoTA 2 Summer Cup began its registration last August 8 and will run up to August 17. The top two finalists will have a chance to play for the Grand Finals which will be held on a LAN and offline at Kiev Cybersports Arena in Ukraine. The first iteration of the Asus Open, the Spring Cup, already saw DTS (disbanded) and mousesports topping the tournament and therefore getting the invite for the finals which will have a total prizepool of €11,300.
For the qualifiers, Asus has generously provided a prize pool of €1,150. The qualifiers will run for two weeks and it will be online; all teams will go through a group stage and a playoff for the six best teams. Note however only the top two will be given a slot for the finals.
