Premier UK-based Team Dignitas has just signed Paul Whyte, aka JonnyREcco, into their Starcraft II roster. JonnyREcco attracted the eye of the big teams after making a splash in the WCS UK qualifiers and TSL 4.

During the WCS UK qualifier tournament, most people expected the likes of BlinG and DeMusliM to have an easy time. However, BlinG got beaten in the early stages, and all eyes were surprised to see underrated SC2 players make a name for themselves, especially JonnyREcco.

In the upper bracket of the WCS UK qualifiers, JonnyREcco even bested leading UK player DeMusliM, and went off to take one of the qualifier spots for the European qualifying stage. This big achievement has put him in the shortlist of the big teams, and consequently, Team Dignitas was the one to successfully sign him.

JonnyREcco comments on his joining Team Dignitas:
