Professional gaming teams are sometimes envied; they get to master and play competitive games and frag each other all day long, and besides earning cash money from tournaments, they get to drink Red Bull and Hot6six until they forget the need for sleep. StarTale and MVP are such teams.
And while the Korean gaming scene is always on the rise, so is also the demand for energy drinks. Enter the multinational Red Bull and the Korean Lettechilsung Ltd, makers of Red Bull and Hot6six respectively. Both of these companies have a long history of supporting pro-gamers and it is only appropriate they gain a foothold in Korea.
Red Bull has partnered with StarTale's Starcraft 2 and League of Legends' teams, and will provide monetary and travel expenses, along with free products. While this is Red Bull's first partnership with an e-sport organization, the energy drink maker has long been sponsoring sports events and teams, most especially extreme sports.
MvP on the other hand, will get sponsorship from Korean drink manufacturer Lettechilsung Ltd, a subsidiary of Lotte. Lettechilsung also has been sponsoring the two previous GSL seasons, and is also a sponsor of the ongoing GSTL season 2. Besides Hot6six, MvP will also get an unlimited supply of all the Lettechilsung branded drinks.
