Just recently, I asked a friend to help me scrounge up some CS:GO beta keys to be given away to our readers. Well apparently, it was too late; Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be available for pre-order on Steam this July 21st.
Priced at a very affordable $14.99, CS:GO is set to be released to the competitive FPS-hungry public a month from now, on August 21. The closed beta keys will be now rendered useless, as Valve is going to run the game in open beta before the game finally goes live. There has been no indication from Valve if those who are going to pre-order will get some bonus or incentives, but most likely it will be a 10% discount for the early birds---their usual practice.
What is noticeable is the lack of the usual update of the game, which hopefully means the game is being fine-tuned for the gold master release. Excited? Well here's a video of a full CS:GO match in everyone's favorite map---well almost all---de_dust2.
Hit F5 to refresh the store page for the game because when July 21st comes, the preorder for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will go live on Steam.
