It is a tournament within a tournament; as CM Storm Fairview Gaming (FG) will be challenged by two “lucky” teams per leg in the upcoming Gainward: Nvidia Counter-Strike 1.6 event.
Starting July 28, the two teams who will be chosen randomly through a raffle will get to challenge CM Storm FG for an outright spot in the finals of Gainward: Nvidia Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament on August 18. Aside from a finals slot, beating team FG will also net the winners’ PHP 3,000, CM Storm mouse, H2 mousepad and tshirts.
- 1 or 2 teams per leg will be drawn from Gainward's team list to compete against CM Storm FG.
- Challenger teams will receive CM Storm shirts and bags plus php3,000 cash prize including CM Storm gaming mouse and H2 mousepad if they beat CM Storm FG
- Best team will advance to the finals based on scoring.
- If no challenger team wins against CM Storm FG, 2 Xornets, H2 mousepads and CM Storm merchandise will be raffled off for online and onsite fans.
- The Gainward champion team can play against CM Storm FG for additional php5,000 and CM Storm gears.
It will definitely be a challenge for the chosen teams as Team FG placed 2nd in the recently concluded 2012 Point Blank International Championships held in Indonesia, wherein they faced 8 teams from 8 different countries.
